Anyone in London this month can be transported back to one of our favourite staycation destinations – Cornwall – with a wonderful free exhibition from Sarah Adams.
Sarah is arguably one of Cornwall’s most inspirational artists, having gained international acclaim for her unique approach to painting the county, quite literally, from the inside out, venturing into places barely marked by human footprint.
Sarah only exhibits in two places – Cornwall and The Mass Gallery SW1.
This latest exhibition – from Darkness into Light – is a milestone 10th solo show for Sarah At The Mass Gallery and continues an 18-year association with the gallery.
Her work recreates the timeless and powerful drama of Cornwall’s iconic coastline on canvas, revealing landscapes from rarely seen vantage points.
The collection of artworks remain true to her fascination for the spectacular and often intimidating grandeur of the Cornish coastline. But this collection also marks a change of mood, with uplifting perspectives that lead us from the darkness of the cliffs and sea caves and out into the expansive brilliance of the Cornish light.
The brilliant and free new exhibition launched this week and runs until the 24 October in St James’s SW1
