On Elevate launch day we joined Yorkshire Childrens Charity (YCC) for their Ladies Lunch. We had a great time, lovely food, our editor even won a prize!
However, that’s not why we were there. We were there to support this fantastic charity to raise much needed funds that go directly to help vulnerable young people in Yorkshire.
Their latest campaign has launched and they need to raise £114,000 to keep children in Yorkshire warm this winter
They have identified 2,373 children in critical need of help this winter and have a shortfall of £144,000 in order to help them all.
The campaign is in three parts.
Phase One – ‘Warm, Dry & Ready to Learn’ supporting 2,373 children with winter essentials. Providing essential items; coats, shoes, toiletries, pyjamas and bedding, to children living in destitution across Yorkshire, ensuring they can arrive at school ‘warm, dry, and ready to learn‘ this winter.
Phase Two – ‘Going the Extra Mile’ delivering the magic of Christmas to the homes of 2,000 children. Bringing dignity and joy to children living in destitution by fulfilling Christmas wish lists, empowering parents to give gifts with love, and helping teachers build trust and provide wider support to struggling families.
